This week, this blog will feature small businesses, in honor of National Small Business Week.

The Small Business Administration was established in 1963 when President John F. Kennedy issued the first proclamation recognizing the important contributions that entrepreneurs and small business owners make to our society. In his May 1, 2015 proclamation, President Barack Obama called small businesses the backbone of our economy.

Miami/Boca Raton, Los Angeles, San Antonio, New York and Washington DC will feature one day of events during Small Business Week, culminating with the National Small Business Week awards ceremony in Washington DC.
