Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument to reopen later this month

After nearly five years of being closed, Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument will reopen later this month.

The Bureau of Land Management and Cochiti Pueblo announced Thursday that Tent Rocks will reopen Nov. 21. When the monument reopens, Cochiti Pueblo will take over day-to-day operations from BLM.

ASTA Takes on Capitol Hill to Advocate for Travel Advisor Agenda

The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), along with advisor members, travel agency executives, and industry advocates, descended on Washington D.C. this week for its annual Legislative Day. The advocacy initiative brings travel industry leaders directly to Capitol Hill to discuss the top policy issues that affect their businesses and their clients' travel experience.

Program supports development of new tribal tourism businesses, recovery from pandemic for existing businesses.

Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs Bryan Newland announced today that the Indian Affairs Office of Indian Economic Development is soliciting applications for its Fiscal Year 2022 Tribal Tourism Grant Program.
